Story:
Everyone was nervous, how could they not be with Blacklisteds first show representing Askeboda. It was the warmup and Susanne was doing her best to keep the mare calm. She was ready to explode and everything scared here. Every little movment outside the warmup arena was enough to make the mare fly a meter up in the air. How would they ever make it through the actual show like this? It was nothing that would ever work out and at this moment, both Susanne and her oh so sweet grooms knew they would be happy if they even made it through the whole show without the black mare jumping out of the arena or spooking so badly someone got hurt. And after what seemed like an eternity, the mare started to relax, slowly. "I think we might actually do it, don't you?" she smiled at Laci who had been nice enough to follow after having made the decision to leave Bentley at home. The ginger nodded and decided not to make any other movement, as Blacklisted was finally standing still, breathing calmly. "It's your turn soon so be ready. Try to just keep her warm meanwhile without giving her reason to spook" A small laughter left them both before Susanne nodded, lightly pressing her knees aganist the mare to make her walk. "Everything is a reason for her to spook" she said as they left the other woman behind them.
Not less than a minute after, hell broke loose. In the middle of the arena someone was getting warm and had decided to take their jacket off. Who the hell even wore a jacked in the middle of the summer?! But the spooky mare didn't see a jacket, no out from the human came a tiger, ready to eat them all and it was for the best just to run, something she also did. Without so much as a warning she pressed herself together and bolted off. Susanne quickly pushed her heels down, pulling her arms up and tried to stop the now runaway train she was sitting on. Infront of her she could see all kinds of accidents happening as there was no stopping this terrified mare who was now heading for a black horse in the other end of the arena. Somewhere she could hear someone shouting "look out", it sounded like Laci but there was no telling. And there was no way she actually saw the poor gelding they were now heading straight for in a speed that was making her think she was sitting on a race horse. "shit... woah! she tried to pull the mare away, not from the gelding but from the fence that she saw getting closer and closer. Her heart beating faster and faster, she would die... they both would. Blacklisted's jumping was terrifying and she had no idea what she was doing so her jumping the fence of the arena would only end in disaster.
But then... suddenly, there was stop. Well not exactly a stop but they slammed into something and just as Susanne looked up she saw the gelding and woman they had just crashed with. With fear on her face she could feel the mare disappear under her, soon hitting the ground. For a few seconds she just lied there, trying to grip what had just happened. Not that she was hurt, just chocked, slightly terrified and very, very ashmed.
"Shit! Are you okey?!" Looking up she saw Laci, together with Blacklisted. How long had she been laying there? Apparently long enough for her friend to catch the now worked up mare. "Yeah... I'm fine..." Standing up she brushed off what she could before taking the reins, groaning some. She could feel everyones eyes on her, and all she wanted was to sink through the ground and stay there forever. "Are you sure? We should scratch you from the list. Really. I dont want you to die in there." She smiled up at Lacies worried eyes and shook her head. No she was fine. Maybe stupid enough to go through with this but she didn't want to give up. Not now. If she could just calm Lis down, they would be fine... "No, It's fine. We can do this. We're riders, right?" She winked as she rounded the mare to get up again. "Wait, let me clean you up first." Laci said as she followed her, helping her to get rid of all the dirt and helping her up the saddle again.
