Illustration for a fusion fic I'm writing, between Final Fantasy 7 and Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials/The Golden Compass universe. I'm saying fusion and not crossover because no characters or settings from HDM show up; it's mostly an excuse to write the FF7 cast with daemons (ie, sentient soul-bonded pets. XD)

Tifa's stag is Breon, Barret's falcon is Akela, Aeris's tomcat is Simon and Cloud's cuahl/coeurl is Skally. I'll have to draw the rest of Avalanche one of these days. XD

Sketch with 2B pencil. Colors done in photoshop 7. Woohoo fuzzy brushes. Let's all pretend that Breon's proportions aren't awkward (giraffe legs and horse body! bad artist, no cookies) and that Tifa is actually standing on lower ground than they all are. XD;
