I saw a beautiful line art drawing of the 10th Doctor here [link] and was inspired to color it. I feel like I may have overworked it in the end, but I had a lot of fun doing it. Definitely check out "KidsWorld" [link] here on deviantART. He's done some AMAZING work here.Related content

I really do wonder.... Can Weeping Angels fly? And what would happen if they were in mid fly and someone looked at them?

I have wondered the same thing. I'm thinking they would fall to earth and crash into pieces -- so maybe that's why they don't fly?

I was at the mall when I thought of this (6 year old sister) and she was asking me stuff about the weeping angels, and asked me if they could fly... but if I saw one fall a break into a million pieces... Honestly I would just point and laugh

Thank you very much. I begin by removing all white from the original line art layer, then adding new layers beneath the "line art" layer to add color. So if I do pants, for example, on its' own layer, I can add a little texture, add highlights with the Dodge tool, add shadow with the Burn tool, etc. And the cool thing is that the line art will be on a layer above, so I don't have to worry about coloring inside the lines.

Wait, do you remove the white with the eraser tool?
You could just put the line art layer with the setting "multiply" on top and then color on the layers underneath. Saves a lot of trouble

No... I do Select, Color Range, click on the White, increase the "fuzziness" to around 100, then press Delete. Then I can do a Layer, Layer Style, Color Overlay and set to black -- so all shades of white, gray, etc. are black. If I'm really trying to go for a different line art look, I will copy the "line art" layer into Flash and do a Trace Bitmap. That will make the lines smoother and more hand-drawn. Some images work great with that and some not at all.
