(( I couldn't think of a good title don't judge meSo this originally started out as a random sketch of Serina but then I realized it's been a reeeeeeally long time since I've shown Shane any love, poor baby. I improved his design a bit and think he came out a bit better this time but drawing guys....... still not my strong suit -_-' ))

*While relaxing against the tree, Shane slowly opens up one eye and looks over at the girl that was talking to him before chuckling slightly* Well I guess now you've seen one. Congratulations.

*He chuckles a bit before giving a smile of his own* Well, I've never seen a person with gray skin who wasn't a vampire so I guess we both met someone new today. *he then stands, brushes a bit of any remaining dirt from off his pants and then smiles* And I'm Shane. Nice to meet ya' too.

((Hey more Shane! It's good to see him still showing up here. 
*Feen is patrolling the borders of her forest when a familiar scent crosses her path. She smiles a little at the familiarity and begins tracking the source down with a quiet patience. After several minutes she comes upon the thing she is searching for. There is Shane. His back against a tree, turned away from her, and resting. A mischevious grin crosses her face as she creeps up behind him.*

*Shane continues to relax against the trunk of the tree, just looking out at nothing in particular. He takes in a deep breath of the fresh air and sighs softly as he smiles to himself. It'd been far too long since he actually took a break from his normal thieving activities and just did absolutely nothing besides enjoying the day. He places his hands back behind his head and closes his eyes lightly as he takes in the warm rays from the sun beating down on him*

*Feen creeps right up next to him and sees his extended staff leaning on the tree next to him. She carefully picks it up, moves out of his direct line of sight, and places the end against his throat.*

*Shane continues to enjoy his time of relaxation but quickly flinches as he feels the cold metal of his staff pressed against his throat. With her being out of his line of sight he gives a slight aggravated groan at the thought of having someone get the drop on him like this* Well there goes that break........ Alright look buddy, you're making a big mistake. I'm not exactly a fan of being snuck up on so I'm giving you five seconds to drop the staff and move on before things have to get messy.

*Feen snickers and pulls the staff away from his throat. Giving a mock irritated huff she says.* Well if Shane gonna be like that then Feen not gonna give Shane present. *She raises her nose, huffs again, and begins walking away with Shane's staff. All the while waiting for the reaction.*

*Shane blinks a few times from the surprise of hearing the familiar voice but a smile quickly develops over his face as he chuckles and stands up to follow after her* Whoa hey, wait a second! If I had known the person holding my staff on me was little Feen here then my greeting would have been much friendlier. *when he gets close enough as he approaches behind her, he quickly wraps his arms around her waist and pulls her back towards him as he gives a slight smirk* Now then, what was this about a present?

*Feen smiles a little and leans against him.* Feen still pretty mad at Shane. Think Shane gonna have to make it up to Feen before Shane get present. *She hugs his arms with hers and chuckles quietly to herself.*

*Shane chuckles a bit as he gently tightens his embrace* Weeeeellโฆ.. I suppose you're right. I was awfully rude and I apologize. *he smirks a bit and then leans down slightly as he places a soft kiss against her cheek* Forgive me?

*Feen smiles as he kisses her cheek. She turns around in his arms, wraps her arms around his neck, and says.* Alright. Feen forgive Shane.

*He chuckles a little and then grins as he looks down at her* Good, I'm so glad. Now that that's settled, I believe I heard something about a present?

Yeah. Feen did say that. *She traces a slim finger down his jawline.* ...But.... *Feen grins and pushes him back forcefully. She drops the staff on the ground and laughs.* Shane gotta catch Feen first! *She takes off through the woods.*

*He stumbles back a bit as he's suddenly pushed backwards but then gives out with a short chuckle as he smirks* Oh, you wanna play do ya? Well alright then, let the game begin! *He quickly takes off forward, scoops up his staff from off the ground without losing his momentum and rushes after her*

*She laughs as she grabs onto a low hanging branch, and swings up into the trees like a simian. She leaps from one branch to the next attempting to put distance between them.*

*When he sees she's taken to moving about through the tree tops he quickly places the end of his staff sturdily into the ground and vaults himself upwards into the branches. Regaining his pace, he chuckles a bit as he follows her course through the top of the trees* Might as well give up now Feen! You can't outrun me for long!

*Feen chances a glance over her shoulder and smiles to see him following her. Just a few more trees and... There it is. A small rocky outcropping dots the forest floor with a cave just big enough for a squatting person to get through. Feen leaps off the branch, rolls across the soft grass, and crawls quickly into the cave.*

*As he watches her drop down from the tree he smirks a bit as he increases his speed to catch up with her* Oh, you can run but you can't.... *he leaps from the branch from where she had, lands quickly on the ground but is a bit shocked to suddenly see that she's no where in sight* .... hide? *he raises an eyebrow and collapses his staff as he places it in his pocket. He scans the clearing around him before his gaze falls onto the small cave in the side of the outcropping. He smiles and walks forward before crouching down at the opening and peers inside to see if she was there* Hellooooooo, anybody home?

*There is a silence for several minutes before finally a small singsong voice echos out of the opening.* Who is it?...

*Shane chuckles a bit when he hears the voice echo back to him and he relaxes against the stone wall of the entrance to the small cave* Oh, it's just Shane. And I've got you trapped so you might as well surrender now and come on out like a good sport.

Feen got better idea... *She calls from inside the cave.* Shane come down here.

*Shane shakes his head lightly and chuckles a bit to himself as he should have figured she wouldn't give up that easily* Well alright then here I come, ready or not. *he crouches down towards the small opening of the cave and makes his way inside. Although it was getting rather dark as he moved farther away from the opening, his serpentine like body at least made it easier to maneuver through the rocky tunnel, even if he wasn't really able to tell just where he was headed*

*Slowly a dim blue glow shines towards the end of the tunnel. As Shane crawls forward the source of the light is revealed to be cave mushrooms. Each one is iridescent and shines a dim light through the cave. Soon the mouth of the cave opens up, revealing an underground chamber full of glowing flora. From flowers, to mushrooms, to moss. A small pond in the center with Feen staring at it wistfully from a rocky outcropping. Upon hearing his presence she turns to him and smiles.* Hi.

*Once Shane enters into the chamber he's a bit taken back by the amazing sight of all the glowing plants that were around him. He slowly turns around in place as he gazes over the colorfully lit plants that were scattered about the cavern* Whoaโฆ.. cool. *he smiles brightly and turns towards Feen* How did you find this place?

*Feen smiles fondly and says.* When Feen little, Feen would explore everything Feen could. This became Feens special place.... *Her smile dims slightly as she looks over at him.* Feen.... Never share this place with anyone.

*When Shane sees the slight change in her smile, he quickly gives her a reassuring smile and walks up next to her* Then I promise not to tell anybody about this place either. It'll be our little secret. *he gives a quick gesture as if to zip his mouth shut and then smiles* Promise.

*Feen smiles, reaches up, and takes his hand in hers.* Good. *But she can't let the moment go by without a bit of bravado.* Shane better not. *She gives his hand a squeeze and smirks at him.*

*He chuckles softly and makes room for himself on the rock next to her* Hey like I said, our little secret. *he then smiles as he leans over, plucks one of the soft glowing purple flowers growing nearby and then nestles it into the side of her hair*

*Feen smiles and the faintest hint of a blush flares on her cheeks.* Th-thanks Shane. *She squeezes his hand and scoots a little closer to him. Brushing her hair behind her ears she mentally scolds herself for acting like those teenagers she had seen holding hands and walking through the forest. She needed a distraction.* Oh! Feen forgot! *She slips off the rock and starts rummaging through her bag for something.*

*Shane watches as she moves off of the rock and then chuckles softly to himself about how he even had forgotten the reason why he had been chasing her earlier* Ah, that's right. There was something having to do with a present if I remember right. *he smiles as he relaxes back against the flat surface of the rock and places his hands back behind his head while he looks up towards some of the glowing plants that were scattered about the ceiling of the cavern*

*Feen hums with anticipation and triumph as she grasps the item in question. She rushes back to Shane and places a small ring in his hands. The ring itself is made out of iron and in the center is a bright green emerald.*

*Once he feels the small item fall into his hands Shane sits himself up and curiously examines over the ring. After taking a moment to study the ring she had handed to him a slight mischievous smirk creeps up onto his face and he then gives out with a bit of mock surprise as he looks over at her* A ring? Why...... why Feen, this is so sudden! I don't know what to say!

*She frowns and punches his arm.* It not THAT kind of ring Shane! *Feen huffs and crosses her arms at the insinuation, though her cheeks still hold a light dusting of pink.* It magic ring.

*Shane snickers and lightly rubs the side of his arm where he was punched. He then lifts the ring back up to his face and looks over the green jewel that was set in it* A magic ring huh? So what's it do?

*Feen smiles mischievously.* Put ring on. Find out.
((It's an illusion ring, designed to bring out a residual self image as the default. Sort of how you see yourself. So Shane would appear to be his old human self. It can't change height and his tail and everything are still present, just hidden by the illusion. It can also be willed to form other disguises and, with practice of course, turn the wearer partially invisible. Like heat rising off the sidewalk or a mirage.))

*Shane stares at her for a moment before glancing back down at the ring. His previous encounters when dealing with magic obviously haven't been very good and he couldn't help but be a bit apprehensive as to what this ring was going to do. But after realizing that Feen wouldn't give him something that might actually harm him he slowly, if not still somewhat hesitantly, slips the ring onto his hand. Once the ring slides into place, the emerald begins to glow and suddenly gives off a quick bright green flash of light. Shane blinks a couple times from the sudden light but then confusedly looks around as he doesn't notice any significant effect, other than the light, that putting on the ring had caused* Wellโฆโฆ uh, that wasโฆ. interesting Feen, but I don't really see whโฆ.. *he quickly stops in mid sentence when he looks back down towards the ring on his hand and notices that his hands and arms no longer had their green coloring to them. The scales and sharp claws seemed to have disappeared and returned to their normal state along with his hair that was now a jet black color and his serpent like eyes that have changed to a cool grey. He just silently stares downwards, looking intensely towards his hands before he slides one hand up to brush against the side of his face as if to see if the rest of him had changed as well and he then slowly glances back up at her* Iโฆโฆโฆ I-I'm normal again? *As much as he wanted to believe that the ring actually somehow removed his curse and he was now normal, he just somehow still really didn't feel all that normal*

*Feen shakes her head with a sad smile.* It illusion ring. *She explains as she takes his hand in hers.* Shane not free of curse but... Hidden from it. Ring shows world how Shane sees Shane. So Shane appears human again. But it also makes other disguises and can turn Shane invisible. *She shrugs a little.* Feen figured Shane could use it in Shane's line of work... *She pauses for a second as she looks up at him expectantly.* Does... Shane like it?

*Shane is silent for several seconds as his gaze seems to be focused on the still water of the small pond. As he continually stares downwards, his reflection on the water's surface just returns the same stare back to him, as most people's would. But it had been so long since he had actually seen his normal reflection look back at him and not that of the green scaly creature's that he has unfortunately come to know, it was almost like looking at the face of a long lost friend. When he finally manages to tear his gaze away, he looks back towards her with a soft smile before quickly pulling her into a tight hug* Yeah Feen, I like it. You have no idea, I just.............. thank you.

*Feen's eyes widen as he hugs her but then a soft smile passes over her face. She embraces him and runs her fingers through his hair.* It alright Shane.

*Shane holds her in his tight hug for a few seconds more before eventually releasing her and sitting back as he chuckles a bit sheepishly* Heh, sorry. Didn't mean to go getting so emotional about it, it's just....... kinda nice to actually see my old self again, you know? *He glances back towards his reflection in the water and then gives a small half smile as his gaze falls back down onto the ring* So, how long does the illusion last? I mean, does it just continue to work as long as I wear the ring or is there like a time limit or something?

*As he releases her and apologizes, she gives him a small understanding smile and pats his back. When he smiles at the ring, she does as well. Being eager to explain it she says.* Ring is connected to Shane's mind. Maintains illusion all the time.... Unless... *She leans over and gives his ear a small kiss.* Shane get... Distracted.

*Shane's eyes widen a little from the kiss and a faint blush quickly passes over his face. Just as quickly, the ring gives off another split second flash of light as the illusion around him is broken and he reverts to his familiar snakelike appearance. He blinks a few times before noticing his regular reflection in the water and sighing slightly* Hm, guess I'm gonna have to be careful to not get distracted when wearing this thing on jobs then. *After a moment a slight smirk then creeps up on his face as he looks back at her* Though uh, your type of "distractions" I'm more than happy to deal with.

*She smirks back and ruffles his hair causing his bright red locks to fall down over his eyes.* Aw Shane. *She sits next to him on the rock, takes his hand in hers, and leans her head on his shoulder.*

*Shane chuckles lightly and blows some of the fallen strands of hair away from his face. When she places her head against his shoulder, he smiles softly and leans his head against hers and gives her hand a gentle squeeze. Unbeknownst to him as he slowly closed his eyes in relaxation, the ring gives off another quick flash and reverts him back to his illusion self. He just smiles to himself as he sat there with her on the rock. No matter how much he hated what the curse had turned him into, she always somehow managed to make him feel so.... normal*
