Description
something i did with colored pencil. i had to scan it in 4 parts so i had some problems while unifying them thus sorry for the color mismatches and other small mistakes.

I really like the idea and the simplicity in execution. It easily caught my eye among the sea of submissions and I want to keep studying it.
The only thing that sort of jumped out at me is the perspective. The shutters by the window, are they open inward or outward? Either way the perspective is not correct and look odd. If they are inside the room the lines should submerge to a remote point, not parallel to each other.
That's the only constructive criticism that I can think of. Keep up the great work!

Coming to you from
First I'd like to say that my eye was immediately drawn to your drawing. It was the dark tones that caught my eye,very Chas Addams (The Addams Family, a cartoon before it was a tv show). I like the composition of the drawing as well with the cat in the foreground staring up at the birds. We know what he is thinking. Also the shape of the cat is great, very sleek and long, there's no doubt it's a cat.
However, I do find that one big crow on the horizon line a distraction, he seems out of place, lost if you will. Also those lines on both sides I'm really not sure what they are supposed to represent and again seem like an afterthought.
I would have eliminated those lines, instead I would have made a solid border around the picture and had the branches extend beyond the border lines or even have that great looking cat sitting just outside the border with the feathers also falling from just beyond the border.
Overall I believe its a wonderful drawing filled with whimsy and imagination that can make a person smile when looking at it. Hope to see more of your work.

Nicely done there, I like what you did with the idea. Even though the smudges are in there, it still looks nice. I think they add to it though. I like how the cat is positioned and looking up at the birds. Very nice, and nice job on it by the way.

This is just awesome! I saw the thumb and remembered to click on it later, so here I am. I really like the whimsical, ethereal sort of look you got there, especially with the cat and the silhouette of the birds on the trees. ^^
