May get into greater detail with this Description in future edits, but for now what I can say is this. That devotion of fans to a creation is transparent no matter what the material and premise.

"Let us make sure history never forgets the name ... Brony." -Picard

Not to exclude Trekkies, Star Wars and many others, but I just had to do that.

The only difference between Treks and brones is at least Treks won't bother you about Startreck at random or make shitty art recolors.

Bronies on the other hand need a couple boots up the ass.

I agree.
Discord is Q.
Also, I'm a Trekkie Pegasister, and both are rather similar.

Bronies and Trekkies are also extremely possessive of their shows and whrow temper tantrums whenever someone criticizes their shows or shares an opinion that they don't agree with. It's quite sad to see grown adults behaving in such a manner over a freaking tv show.

Not all of us are that way. I am both in fact, and in my opinion if someone wants to criticize either show for legitimate reasons, hey, who am I to complain? Of course, trolling is something I don't like, but then since when is trolling a legitimate form of criticism?

Point is, there are always vocal parts of any group across every possible spectrum, including serious ones like science (of which I'm also a part; engineering student), and condemning the entire group because of a vocal minority, no matter how big they might or might not be, is not fair to the group nor is it a truly intelligent or intellectual way to view said group. There are always positive sides to groups like Bronies, Trekkies, etc., such as the fact that The Ride to Conquer Cancer now has much more recognition due to Bronies discovering that Andrea Libman is a major proponent, and they have raised a ton of money as a result. Trekkies have been involved in charity work for decades as well, and Star Wars fans have the 501st legion, which makes appearances at charitable events and supports many worthwhile programs.

This is true, back at the 60's-70's, Trekkies were used to be frowned upon by grown ups and "mature teens" who sees and offten depicts them as wimps or "teens with no common sense", fast forward and now the Trekkies are the one of most respected fan bases out there today and people got used to them (Even ). And since the Bronies are in the same situation as the Trekkies in the 60's-70's, people will get used to the Bronies in the future, just like the Trekkies.

Well we are kind of happening a bit fast. I mean thanks to the internet the Bronies accomplished in just these 1.5 years what took Star Wars and Trekkies like 10 to 20 years.

And our reputation is more on the line. Star Wars and Star Trek fans seemed obsessive at the time but it was over a respectable genre, and that thanks to them has excelled the quality of the genre. Even before Nolan's Batman, he still had a lot of street cred after Batman and Robin. MLP never really had that high of a reputation so people still hold a real cynicism over us and our community is likely happening too fast for them to comprehend.

Hopefully we won't exhaust ourselves too fast either. Hope the quality of the show holds up for multiple seasons and that the community stays as productive and supportive as always.

What should we do next to solidify it? The movies...?

Hmm... It might solidify it, but what if a movie backfires like the original odd numberd Star Trek movies?
