Description

Now onto Batgirl, Cassandra Cain-Wayne! I chose Yanin Vismitananda (specifically, circa 2007-2008) for Cass after seeing her in "Chocolate", which was pretty much all it took to convince me that she would be a fantastic choice for Batgirl!

Much like the other examples, Cassandra's origin is pretty much the same as it is in the comics. The only real differences are that she didn't meet a metahuman who rearranged her mind (as much as I love the original Batgirl ongoing, that never quite sat right with me) and it was learning language that resulted in her diminished abilities making her take Lady Shiva's offer. She was also adopted by Bruce a lot sooner (though she still thinks of Barbara as a mother as well), and she went with Bruce on his world trek (along with Dick and Damian) following the events of Earth-46's Infinite Crisis. Now that everyone is back in Gotham (and there's been another addition to the Batfamily), Cassandra has resumed her role as Batgirl, although she's currently being nagged by the question of who her biological mother is.
