Well done on the DD. This really deserves it. I would fav it, but you have so many already, so you can just have the quiet pleasure of knowing that I think this is a wonderful shot. *grin* Very clever, and the black and white adds to the 'strength' of the shot.

Paaaris Paris Paris... I'd go left.

I like that the... lamp? sign? (I can't tell... the thing in the center. XD; ) is centered.

Very very cool shot. Congrats on the DD.

Sorry, I'm not too good at critiquing photos. I want to say that it would look a liiittle better if there was more contrast on the streets and buildings... you know, if some parts were brighter. But maybe that's just because I remember Paris being blindingly sunny. XD; I think it looks great though, really I do.

the "centered thing" is a lamp
thank you

Well, on that day, the sky was awfully white (cloudy and cold). That district was not very attracting. The light was quite flat. This is why I chose to do much post-processing, to "alter" the mood and try to give a feeling to something that inspire nothing to me at first (except the amazing point of view and architecture).

crazy. I like how there's something right in the middle of the picture--that ball thing, and how the picture is from an upper floor, really at the middle of the building, also. Did you have to do a lot to get up there? Was it a public building?

Aspirant-Artiste In reply to fondued-jicama [2006-02-27 08:55:08 +0000 UTC]

this is not a composite or a mirroring, but one photo of a building.

Hmm...

Something about the photography is really unique, like you took a street and placed a mirror to reflect it.

Well...something like that at least.

Looks excellent, keep it up.

Amazing, why the hell havn't more people favourited or commented on this?
It almost looks symetrical but then you notice how different the streets are. Such a cool looking shot, it's brilliant.
