Description black and red ink pen
just a quickie. only squished in a few drawing minutes while out of town with the family. looking forward to drawing some of the fun photos we took!
anyway, the ref photo?/ rendering from which i drew this one is from the awesome book The Architecture and Design of Man and Woman: the Marvel of the Human Body Revealed by Alexander Tsiaras. this image in particular was titled Architecture of Skeletal Muscle and was much better than this quickie of a copy i threw together!

you know, i really have no clue if it's a male or female! how funny!
thanks a bunch!

no prob lol

but i say its the female body cause it looks like the chest area near the left arm protrudes more and the line detail seems to give envases on more of a curve

but that's my opinion

ha! i went back to look at it, and i think the chest near the left arm protruding was (eeks) a mistake, i think that's where the bicept was supposed to be... turning red in shame now...
the line probably does indicate more of a curve though...
hmmm. i think i'm going to go with that. it's a female, the protrusion's on purpose, the curves are on purpose, i didn't just screw up, really i didn't!

lol no need to feel ashamed, its still great work
besides when i look back at some of my work i notice little things like that and it makes me laugh but it helps me become more accurate and make less mistakes, sometimes it even inspires me with new work

what a great attitude! i'm planning on trying to do more of these anatomical drawings, so i'll keep this in mind as i strive to become more accurate does make one want to try again, doesn't it.

thanks lol thats a nice thing of you to say^_^. that's cool, i kinda wanna do anatomy since it helps with other designs plus since one of my favourite artist alex grey does some phenomenal work using anatomy plus since i strive to do some similar work he does and since i like creating characters for my storys also so it helps with alot of development

it sure does i drew eddy from iron maiden and thought it looked good and lost it then i drew another one later then again it happened so i drew another, so one day i find both my old ones and see a major difference in how they look and a major difference compared to the recent one i did(mind you they all were the same face, not a diiferent pose or expression) when i drew them i was practicing drawing from memory and remembering how to draw them from shapes, line and detail but mostly i concentrated on shapes
but now it looks extremely accurate to eddy ^_^

you should definitely study the anatomy stuff (i really need to too!) i've never heard of alex grey, i'll have to look him up. grey is my favorite color

what types of stories do you write? my WIP is in edits. it is approx 100,000 words paranormal-ish not sure of genre kind of thing. i don't think i'll ever get it right!

i can't believe you drew the same thing three times! now that's patience! but the idea of trying to draw from memory sounds like a great exercise. i know my memory could use the workout. i'm glad your pic turned out well in the end. thanks for the great idea!

AuroraNote In reply to aspiring-x [2010-05-03 05:55:30 +0000 UTC]

i will . definitely check him out.
lol that was a little random

well i really haven't written, since i don't know where to start plus there for animations i want to do when i get high into that field plus I'm wanting to get into script writing so i can work on short films for part of my business I'm working on starting.
quick questions that's been bugging me but whats WIP?
that's allot of words o.o
thats cool

well when you get bored in school(bad thing to do lol) you get into drawing the same thing sometimes, but again these were into random time lengths by months, plus i use to do that with weenie the pooh and mickey and allot of other type of cartoons when i would take a memory snap shot while watching TV and remember that scene later and draw them in steps of shapes
plus allot of my friends and other people would request them, so it becomes a slight habit sometimes and also since I'm getting into tattooing you sometimes gotta do the same design over and over.
patience is always worth it in the end, in many things
plus once you have a stronger patience, patience isn't much a choir to build and it becomes no longer tedious

thanks
anytime

btw drawing from memory is definitely a great exercise
just don't force it and let it become natural

yeah, not so big on alex grey's work. he definitely is a very talented man, but his work is completely wrapped up in a religion that i can't agree with no matter how many near death experiences i read about. maybe i'm one of their 'dark souls'. if so, that's fine by me.

you should totally just start writing. start with something completely ridiculous or some scene in your mind that you love. you don't have to write things in order, and really the purpose would be for practice at first. i don't know anything about script writing, but i think even journaling everyday will help you develop skills that need practiced to pin down. animation is very cool, even though i have no idea how it's done.

back in the day, my school work doodles were quite varied, even though i did draw the backs of peoples' heads an awful lot. there was this one boy in algebra2 whose ears stuck out deliciously prominent. i must have drew the back of his head several dozen times. i found that if i kept my doodles related to what the teacher was teaching i had better luck absorbing the lessons.

tell me about it. patience is an ever developing skill. i used to think i was patient when i was young, but after having my wonderful sons i realized that i wasn't quite as patient as i had thought. little boys are the best sculpters of patience.

thanks again for the drawing from memory idea!

im not really sure what religion that may be but hey we all have our views and differences, i guess i should check into that, but most of his work from some areas dont seem religious but they are what they are. lol dark soul?, i doubt that, you seem very nice

hmm interesting, thats similar to what my friend told me about writing lyrics.
its funny i never usually can write a journal
animation is mostly frame work but the rest depending on what style of animation have other processes and etc

lol you drew on their heads, where?.btw i find it funny how you said deliciously prominent, idk why.
interesting, well thats good the doodles helped with the teachers lesson

so that it seems, im glad ive learned to develop patience as much as i have so far, it definitely helps me with my relationship with my girlfriend, but still im working on building stronger patience even now .
well im glad to hear your kids have been a good impact on you, thats sweet

no problem again anytime

here's a link to that religious stuff from a guy i know who believes in it...
[link] . try reading the neardeath experiences. the first one in the list was all i was able to muddle through. i don't know. i just don't like it when people base their beliefs on things they see when they're high, but that's probably just me. i don't know, i just looked at alexgrey.com to see his art. almost everything i saw was related to that stuff... anyway.

i thought most modern animation was done on computers.

no i didn't draw on their heads! that would have been too funny! no, i doodled pictures of their heads on paper!

ha! yeah, patience helps all relationships.

ok, need to go now. bye!

thats odd, i know its with in Buddhist, Taoist and Indian religion to an extent but science even explains that the human aura is an electromagnetic wave mostly visible to true kirlian photography [link] and the human eye when were young before the photo receptors in our eyes lower to a slower vibration as we learned to concentrate on other visuals and develop the left and right hemisphere of our brains but i wont go any futher cause i dont want to bother you.

i dont see the point of being high, and alex grey is i guess very spiritual person per say and he did use to drop a lot of acid with his wife when he was young but no longer does it now.
or at least last time i was told.

to an extent but i guess you could say most modern animation is

haha ohh alright , sorry about that lol

yep yep

cool pic in the link, and huh? go further, you aren't bothering me, except that i don't know from whence you draw this conclusion.

yeah, i don't get the point either.
oh man, i'm out of time! have a good one!
