Uma is the girl who isn't so strong, and she's intimidated by other girls who are stronger than her... but there is Cynthia, who cares about everyone with love and fond of Uma especially.. and they travel together! and Uma saved Cynthia's life and vise versa...
They are such a sweet couple. so sweet. XD

Indeed they are a beautiful couple. But Yuma just lacks confidence, she actually is strong and very capable.
But she's so cute when she blushes.

I squee'd like a 12 year old during the scene where Yuma tries to be cool and manly for Cynthia, then puts herself in danger to save her... and Cynthia started teasing Yuma so cutely and hnnngh. I theoretically shipped them a long time ago so it was victory for me. The gayness is obvious even tho it's not explicit. (like Iresa)

I think they are the first one to get married lol as a best friend and lover...
hmmm, personally I wanna see Miria marrying Galatea and Uma & Cyn. Clare might get married to Raki......*shivers* and Tabitha... I'm not sure.
What are your favorite couples? :dDDD

Hmmm...
I'm a HelenxDeneve fan. (see my helenxdeneve canon fiction ^^)
Then there is Cynthiuma of course, and Miria with Tabitha.
Clare.... I'm not sure, if I had to choose she would be with Jean.
Raki can marry a zombie. Or Clarice. For some reason I get the feeling that Clarice might be interested in males...

I ship Clarice and Cid like whoa, the only good CM het pairing even tho it's crack lololol
Clare wouldn't marry Raki, she's an emo loser and he's clingy and hero worships her and misinterprets it for real intimacy. He should settle down a nice human girl and be a chef and have a nice life since he is a nice kid at heart

I don't think Raki could settle down, he developped an inter-dependancy with Clare. I don't think he'd be able to let it go at this point.

Maybe, but more than that I believe she projected her childhood issues onto him, and she became like a surrogate 'inner child' stand-in, because she's incapable of caring for the real one.

Well, usually our exam period ends with June, but since I graduated, I did most of my stuff already in May and it was hell. e_e I never ever want to have to do so much coursework at once again. Last week I had entrance exams to an art school, so now I'm officially on holidays FINALLY, LOL.
I wouldn't mind proofreading it!

It was my third time taking those entrance exams, I'm honestly surprised I passed this time.
MA studies seem tough, I was briefly considering MA studies in English but since I got into the art school, I'm gonna pass on that. Science seems like a much more useful thing to study though!

True. But I'm neither good enough nor confident enough to ink my drawings... I'd only get one shot and I know I would fail.

With a pencil, I can always erase a mistake. With ink I can't do that, one mistake and the drawing is wasted. I wish there was an real life "undo" button, but there isn't.
But I agree, it will never look as good as inked drawings.

Maarika In reply to ASPpeyre [2011-07-04 21:39:25 +0000 UTC]
Btw, it's pretty easy to edit pencil drawings digitally to make the lines darker by changing the contrast. Any basic image manipulation program can do it, you don't even need Photoshop or a tablet for that. I use GIMP all the time (because it's free). You just open the file, go to "Levels" or "Curves" in the menu and adjust the settings until it looks the way you want it.

ASPpeyre In reply to Maarika [2011-07-04 21:48:53 +0000 UTC]
I tried that once, but the problem is that I make way too many mistakes during the drawing process. Because of that, the entire page is more or less shaded with the graphite on my hands/from my eraser. So changing the contrast gives some horrible results with the way I draw.
I feel like I suck. :/

Maarika In reply to ASPpeyre [2011-07-04 22:01:17 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, you can also lose much of the shading when you adjust contrast (that always happens to my drawings, lol. But it also gets rid of all the shades my scanner has randomly added). If you don't want any accidental shading (if that is an issue as I understood?), you can try placing a small piece of paper where your hand is, and/or use a kneaded eraser which is often much more effective than normal eraser (and helps a lot to avoid or clean up bigger messes).
What all art teachers have told me is that a drawing is not supposed to look 'all grey', as in contrast is expected between the white areas (the paper) and darker areas. But also scanners/cameras often mess things up even worse. IMO the greyness is not such a big deal if you can clearly make out what's being depicted in the drawing.

ASPpeyre In reply to Maarika [2011-07-04 22:12:16 +0000 UTC]
Well if you have a look at my drawings, you'll notice they all are sort of shaded all over, giving them this "grey/night" touch.
That's because of accidental shading during the drawing as well as the fact that I draw on 24x32 paper and can only scan sheets up to 21x29.7 so the drawing isn't completely pressed against the scanner, which causes fake shading.
The residual shading is still light, so it doesn't interfere with "real shading", but it still prevents me from playing with contrasts.
I did use a piece of paper to avaoid smudging the graphite over parts i wasn't working on, but the real problem is my OCD about details. I redo thgings way too much. It takes forever, and it ends up causing eraser marks/residual lines etc...
I guess it's a matter of skill...

Just get some fine-line markers. The ones I use are either Staedtler or um... I think they're called Sakura... the other brand I have. They come in different widths and are good for making really exact linework. [link] And also in different colors, I have a set of sepia as well as my black ones.

eva-st-clare In reply to ASPpeyre [2011-07-09 16:39:24 +0000 UTC]
If you wanted, try something like a grey tone prismacolor or copic to fill in shading, I do that sometimes. There are ways to communicate shading with linework, but that may be a little too advanced...
