Maybe not my strongest piece. Was fun to make shiny translucent goo, though.
Darn Discord with his chaotic shapes, harder to translate to three dimensions than ponies
Then again... I didn't exactly make Discord faces for years either.
I need to refine my my methods more, as always.
Anyhow, episode again as expected a great one. This season has been great for many things already. One that I keep repeating however is them introducing new stuff in nice ways. Still also managing to balance it with visits of older locations or events. In this case even going back several generations! (again)
This little development of Discord was an amusing one as well, brought plenty of chaos.

This is best looking goo to come from the fanart in response to the latest wpisode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The reflections, the curves, the points of light. Clearly excelled here. The other point is that the 2 players look a lot like stop-motion or clay-mation. One thinks of Aardman Animations, Gumby, Mr Bumpy and so on. The colours from the episode match the style presented here. I don't know how the artist achieved such perfection but there it is. Attention to line as well as tone is cest magnifique. This is a winner, so well done /)

While I do enjoy the pic overall, it feels kind of βbare.β It could use more stuff added. Maybe a better defined reflection in the floors showing better images of Discord and Smooze and a bit of shininess perhaps? Also some air bubbles within the body of Smooze would probably had been nice. While I know the focus of the pic is supposed to be Discord and Smooze, I still wish there was _something_ in the background. Maybe some tables with treats on them, some background poniesβ¦something. I know someone also suggested adding a slime trail to Smooze and I think that wouldβve been nice too. I donβt blame you for stopping where you did because of the work that would be involved; I just hope that youβll go back and add some more stuff to the picture someday.

Hmm the Smooze I remember was originally a purple ooze looking creature that resembled the pokemon muk and grimer. It would devour everything in its path.
As the song states "Nothing can stop the smooze."

Good episode. It's the first one where the main focus wasn't on a member of the mane six, spike, or the cmc. Discord learned an important lesson too.

Discord's character has the advantage that he's still way behind the others in terms of learning to be a friend, so even five seasons into it he can be used to teach the most basic lessons in getting along.
