One of my own theories involves my pen having all the brains and I just supply the muscle.

Though yea, with time, and inspiration, and art. A lot of things here I didn't have to think about any more, primarily how to move the brush. It was mostly figuring out the characters, composition and such which can always change. (Pun... not intended)
Trying out new things. The blur is something I've tried before, for example. So like that you build up quite the mental library.
