I have to say, this is the longest render I've ever done. May not look like it but this was a good 14-15 hour render, why don't I know the exact time? Because I was too tired to look as I clicked ok.
How do I know an average? Because I know when I started it and I know how long it sort of had when I went to bed(12 hours later). When rendering I thought I'd really screwed up the water but now it's finished I like the finished product. I would say that this is my most realistic terragen to date.

Yeah, I think you should. It's a very different concept. Try searching terragen in google and click the first link it gives you

I do have one suggestion. Cut down on the sun reflection on the water. The controls for that are in the water dialog window, on the tap with reflections in general, on the lower half. You might also want to cut down the corona of the sun a wee bit.

Ah! It's partly a matter of personal taste. I often cut those settings down to single digits.

This is VERY nice. I agree it is your best so far. It looks like the transparency in the water did affect the scene, so you needed that long render time. Don't worry. I'm used to long renders, and when you are doing more realistic scenes, you will get used to it, too. Your best bet is to start it before going to bed, or try to make sure it renders the whole time you are in bed, so it won't affect other things you do as much.

The terrain here is done rather well I find, its nice to look at, the colours on it work well. I think that the lighting there is rather strong looking and serves as more of a distraction from the lovely scenery around there. I like the colouring in the clouds there, did you add those in like you used to or are they generated in terragen?
The texture on the water looks nice though.
With the text, I'd perhaps think about having "Eloquence" in line with the url, rather than overlapping the 06.

Not bad. Found a couple of things though. The water is 'gridded' when it moves toward the shore. The clouds are dense and don't have much of a reflection, looks odd. Also, I personally feel it is too bright. But that is just me, I prefer darker stuff.

The render time was worth it. The snow is extremly realistic. The sky looks amazing and the water is the most realistic water I have seen in a while.
