A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: CYBERTRON Megatron/Galvatron downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]

Been wanting to do a repaint of Megatron into Overlord (Or ‘Gigatron’ unfortunately for those of us on the Hasbro side of the world…). I think Overlord is the only thing that Megatron could reasonably be POSSIBLY repainted into. Though maybe a Unicron jr. could be possible too. Some kinda form between his little tank form and his growed up planet form. Anyways, it turns out Megatron is a bitch to repaint. He has more ‘color batches’ then any other TF toy I’ve dealt with. Most toys try to stay between 4 and 6 different batches. Sometimes a leader or other larger class toy can have a few more. This mold uses…12 different batches. Sheesh. And while he of course has a few that make up most of his form, it’s the others that are used minimally, sprinkled throughout his form that complicate things. Well, anyways, here’s what I ended up with. I’m really not completely happy with it, but after trying and trying, this is the best I could manage. I obviously tried to mirror the robot mode as closely to the original’s as possible, at the expense of the looks of the vehicle modes, which not only look kinda odd, but aren’t very good homages. But, because of the general weirdness of the mold, in addition to the plastic color batches, I don’t think it would be possible to do an accurate vehicle AND robot mode. So, I settled on the bot mode. That’s the only place this Homage can really take place anyways. And odd as the vehicle modes look, I can’t say it really looks any worse/odder then Cyb Megatron’s colorscheme. So, here it is. Bask in it’s mediocreness.
