Kiitos kannatuksesta.

Would you be able to make something from copper, silver and brass, all on the same piece? What would you charge for something like that?

Thanks for the offer, but i don't really make any business to outside Finland. (But you can of course see pictures from copper/silver/brass mixes already in some of my steampunk style pendant sets..)

Brooches from brass and silver are stunning, with it's minimalistic harmony these look like little magic shields, which protect it's owner in silence.... great job

Thanks. "Shield" is very nice and describable term for those four.

I love the simplicity of the pieces, making the technical work the focus rather than mountains of abstract details. Your work is really good.

Thanks. I have always liked that kind of semi-gloss surface more than generic mirror finish.

i'll guess that the symbols on the broaches are air, wind, earth and fire? very nice work on all of them!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

deathatsix In reply to deathatsix [2010-06-23 19:44:33 +0000 UTC]

air, water, earth and, fire, that is.

Astalo In reply to deathatsix [2010-06-23 23:26:58 +0000 UTC]

Very nice idea, but really i draw about fifteen different symbols and customer pick just those for her brooches, because that "ribbon-style" looked more consistent than rest of my ornament sketches.

Triskele is old celtic symbol and you probably recognize also that cross and heart, but i don't know is there any real meaning on that right side brooch..

The Darwin fish is beautiful!
First time I see it done as a wearable "symbol of faith" !

Yes, it's much more common sight in the car bumbers or t-shirts than jewelry pieces.

Thanks for faving it and yes of course you can use those ideas for your own works. I have used quite similar structure also in my previous "mixed metals" set. [link]
