I'm currently snowed under because of my finals, but I went to see The Hobbit and when I returned I had a drawing spree.I got inspired watching vlogs from making of the movie, especially those about art designs. I saw my dream that will never come true - being a professional painter/graphic/designer. I just took a piece of paper and in half an hour drew this.
I must practice this kind of sketches to shorten the time of drawing. It's fun to watch something like this appearing out of nothing in only few minutes.

Btw, I really hope they put the conversation with Gwaihir in the extended edition. It bothers me so much that they made it look like Gandalf can just call the Eagles like a bunch of taxis.

I had exactly the same impression, I'm tired of jokes about how the Eagles should have taken everyone everywhere. Lonely Mountain? Sure! Mordor? Yeah, a flock of eagles would be totally unnoticeable for a giant, fiery eyeball..
