[link] and my only critisism is that perhaps the face could be slightly longer.

I agree, I did measure and sketch out exactly to proportion.
I wanted to lighten the portrait and not do an exact copy. I think the fact that the heavy shadowing of the photo is taken out in the drawing, widens and stunts the facial features.
That's my own critism of the drawing also, his face looks to healthy and full.

Yes, it's interesting, Kurt's face, considering his self abuse and neglect, had a charm and fullness to it that hid the torment very well.

Another of my own critisms of the finished piece was that it shows a positive and strong character, which unfortunately Kurt wasn't.
Perhaps I have in my own way produced a piece that shows how Kurt may have been.
