About Penelope:

Penelope is a calm and collected individual. She tends to get lost in her work and will go at it for days if you let her. Her weapons are her babies and she will not craft a weapon for just anyone. She comes from a long line of weapon crafters and prides herself in her work. Penelope loves to talk about her expertise in the field and just like her work, she can go on and on about it. She devotes her time to her craft and is constantly finding ways to make them stronger. Along with her skills as a weapons crafter she is also very skilled in battle with her staff. She has learned the art of Bōjutsu through her mothers’ side of the family. She also uses her staff to cast spells.

On rare occasions when she’s not working on her weapons, she’ll go out on expeditions to collect her own materials. She’s one of those “If you want it done right, do it yourself” kind of gals.

History:

Penelope comes form a long line of weapon crafters and Bōjutsu specialists. On her fathers’ side, they are descendants to one of the founding fathers of the magical weapons field in the Magic Academy. Penelope leans more toward the study of magical weapons rather than her mothers’ side of Bōjutsu fighting. She’s had a fondness for magical weapons for as long as she can remember. She would constantly sneak into her dads’ workshop to watch him work or to read through his notes while he was away. With these notes, she learned all her family secrets and soon started developing weapons of her own. She’s grown to be well known in her community and she’s made weapons for some of the top magic wielders in all of Altria Hara. As talented as she is, she is seen as very odd to her peers. They think she’s too obsessed with her work and they have a hard time getting her to talk about anything but work. At the same time, when something odd happens with a weapon or one of great power needs to be crafted, Penelope is the first everyone will flock too.

She occasionally teaches class at the Magic Academy to help inspire new inventors. Many have requested to be taken in as apprentices but have all gotten a hardy no. Penelope has no interest in training one and prefers to craft on her own.

Personality:

As calm and collected she can seem at times, if anyone brings up weapons or magic a whole other side of Penelope comes out. With so much knowledge to share on the subject, she finds it hard to keep still when she’s talking about them. Penelope has a deep fascination in learning all about the history of weapons and could answer just about any question on the subject. This can surprise others considering her age. On the subject she’s thought to be wise beyond her years. She’s not afraid of failure and isn’t upset if something doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. As she believes success comes from failure.

Abilities:

Penelope specializes in many forms of magic but leans mostly towards the earth element. She uses her staff to help boost her magical ability. With out it, casting spells is a little tricky. She also uses her staff with her Bōjutsu fighting.
