Edit ... i think this photo show it off better. You can see the blue binding which brings out the colours of the peacock.

Well!!! This was a learning experience.
After trying inktense pencils and having them run into the areas I wanted to keep clean, I switched to acrylics with a textile medium mixed in.
The end result was not what I had in my head ... but I think it's even better than I imagined it would turn out.
Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the gleam of the gold which is brushed over the peacock's tail.
This will be entered into the Blue Fringe Art Fair next week as a textile/craft entrant and it's up for sale.
Wish me luck! I'm hoping that it will sell and I'll be able to use the money to put towards my daughter's birthday present.
