This here is a special gift to one of my great friends, DragonaDeAcero who has given me some art in the past of Solar Flare. Two in fact! And this is my way of saying thank you for being such a nice friend and person to take out time out of their busy life to put a smile on my face. You're the best, Dragona

Anyone can be a critique! All you have to do is say what appeals to you. You can use the categories to rate as a means of discussion. So you can talk about the originality of the piece, then talk about the impact. How do you feel about the technique? What are your opinions and thoughts on the vision? Those are just some basic things to look into. Maybe you want to talk about the color composition or how I interpreted Rouge. You could even talk about the realism if you felt like it. I'm sure you can fill 100 words. It's a lot easier than you think!

Ok, so anyone reading this is probably already saying "Oh look, he's just making his ""OMGTHISISAWESOME" Critque in the comments.
Well, at the request of Sorelstraz, this is a proper one.
1. The drawing itself. 4.5
Lovingly detailed in the right places, with the hair lines and eyes, its a real treat to admire this. The colours are wonderful as well!
If i had one annyoance, a petty one at that, is that the bottom of the water seems to be quite too colorful. I would have gone with murky dark with the light beams becoming hazy.
2. Compared to Dragonas. 5
Not to say Dragonas is anyworse, but when compared to this this looks like the ORIGINAL. The Merpony is present in her natural environment, and obviously is portrayed liking what she does: swimming. Her expression is cute as well.
3. Overall.
Excellent, with only a minor complaint being some colour at the bottom and edges. Lovingly detailed, beautiful, and wall worthy.

Any issue you have is something important to bring up. There's a difference between saying something sucks and giving a reason as to why you aren't fond of something. I can see what you mean. The deep blue is perhaps a little too saturated. I will take that into consideration for future pieces. Thanks for your feedback!

There is her tail where it normally is on a horse, but her legs are fused together to make another tail which is the actual mermaid aspect. So she actually has two tails and no legs

Beauty and elegance are what I would characterize this best. I see this as a jewel of my personal artworks because this shows my artistic independence, meaning I am not only capable of creating artwork where 100% is drawn by myself, but I am able to draw it with quality and realism. It's something that I'm really proud of because my history in art has been to rely on others to make something so that I can edit it into what I have in mind, but to push myself to get where I am now was challenging and no easy task. It's nice to finish something like this and just feel overly happy and satisfied when it's finally done. That's what this piece means to me at least, in terms of calling it a jewel. That's also why I added 'sapphire' into the title aside from the other reason being of her jewel-like eyes.
