He is basically home schooled by her, and she does her best to form interactions with him by sharing her passion with the joys of being tech savvy enough for tech support and the volatile joy of pyrotechnics (albeit she won't let him too much on that front yet without super super sUPERVISION). He makes a point in writing in a journal he was given about the things he see's or does around the islands if not other things. Nami will look over it for ideas on activities to suggest or integrate with some lessons. They're not always on the same page, but Nami and Lian have an easier time communicating now after all the time spent together

Bio:
When Lian started pre-school his parents weren't concerned about how he had yet to be too vocal, however it didn't seem to change at all over the next few years. More and more Lian ended up getting in trouble because of his lack of speech. It only got worse as he chose to speak even less as he was teased by his peers or given a hard time by his own teachers. People getting over excited when he spoke even a little became suffocating. His folks had to move him from school to school and even tried some therapy, but in the end decided Lian needed a more controlled environment. Sadly busy as they were with work they weren't quite sure what to do, that is of course until they recalled Lian's Cousin Nami, a friendly recluse within the family that had become a penpal to Lian upon request. Not to mention they were well educated and lived as an inventor on some island...

Despite wanting to keep Their smol ball of trouble with them, they believe Lian might thrive better on Nomi with his elder cousin Nami despite the eccentric rumors around her in the family. Cousin Nami had the advantage of being one of Lian's favored relatives and could hopefully home school him without too much fuss or struggle. Within the next few months arrangements were made and Lian was brought to Nomi, which was a bit difficult at first since Lian wanted to stay with their parents, but accepted it when bribed with treats and promised visits. Lian over time actually grew quite fond of the island, but still has kept mostly to them self. It took time adjusting to his new environment, but a newfound freedom in exploring around the island beckoned him like a siren call, and a lil stir crazy child soon started having his own adventures beyond the fence of his new abode....

The boy presently has become more comfortable at his new home, communicating however little he wants without feeling too pressured, but still prodded to keep learning sign language alongside other studies. He has the confidence of a child at home when wandering around Nomi, Seriseri, and Ki. Other places are fun too, but harder to wander to or around safely undisturbed. He has even made a couple friends, something he never considered liable to happen before moving here. His fun loving and mischievous nature continues to grow here, and looks forward to whats next.

Personality:
Lian is still figuring out the world and the people in it, so he tends to be fairly adventurous and follow some folk around till he is satisfied if not wander into places he most definitely shouldn't. Believe it or not Lian is very affectionate- too bad it's only those he has confirmed as safe and capable enough to follow around like a baby duck or something-. He isn't the sharpest lil guy either, but he understands more than he lets on when it comes to how much he's learned. If it isn't easy to tell from the first few times someone runs into the lil guy he is sorta like a wild animal, still just a kiddo, but spend some time trying to bond and/or bait with treats and he may warm up to them no matter who they are [unless they've been labled 'unsafe'. Careful he may bite if provoked]. Lian likes his bangs to cover his eyes so other folks can't see his face properly, sorta like a safety blanket, but despite covering part of his face it's still fairly simple to read him like an open book.

Fun Facts:
-He is a selective mute, and he has the hardest times being in a large crowd, big group, or school settings if he feels there is the expectation people want him to talk. Vocally he has been known to say no, food, and hungry with folks he comfortable with. When he is around Nami with no one else around he has been making small strides towards saying words he has trouble with or being stubborn/unsure. [when he gets stressed out with speaking he actually enjoys writing even if some of the words are hard to read or spelled wrong .]

- He's been keeping a small notepad and pencil so he can write down what he wants to say, he doesn't use it too much unless he thinks it's important. He forgets it at home a lot on purpose too.....

-He had a nasty biting habit when greeting new people, but that's oveR WITH- um but he still bites if you intimidate him and he feels trapped, that or try making him eat pickles....

- Knows how to swim-ish, but deep water concerns him without someone he trusts around and/or flotation devices

- He currently lives with his eccentric cousin Nami and her boyfriend Lorenzo at their home on Nomi. He also partially lives with her 2 best friends Opal and Axel who now reside in an old apartment on Seriseri. It's a bit weird for a living situation, but without someone in the family or a close family friend to watch over him... he'd have had to move back home to the city on the mainland.

1. If he clings a lot he is either trying to bite or he like you, it's easy to tell aggressive and non aggressive apart though.
2. If he fit he sit, he likes fitting into small compact spaces or boxes.
3. He low key stalks people or random things like a stick going downstream or a bug. Stalking people really starts out as just tailing them till he is satisfied about who they are, and will likely run away if caught in the act. If he likes a person he'll follow them around, but he might stand in place at first when looked at and resume when their gaze is away. If he has a sibling like bond he'll follow right beside a person and maybe try to hold hands or cling to clothing occasionally.
4. Has been known to yoink anything he think is a treat if he can. [does not actively steal from stores, but there has been mishaps;;]
