I like the inverted wolf shadow, that wouldn't have occurred to me. I made a paper cutout, to see if that's how it would really look, and I got the result you depicted.
Plus nice red riding hood imagery, I like it.
Minor point, but I would have cloned some of the bushes to cover up the propane tank so as not to distract from the two subjects.

and yea that tank annoys the hell out of me but somehow I didn't notice it was there all though making the pic. I only saw it after I had submitted it to the competition, at which point it didn't seem right to change it.
