Another really fun commission! I feel like I had a breakthrough with my value structure here, my paintings often come out pretty flat but this one didn't ( I think!!).

I wouldn't say that your other paints look flat, far from it. But here, her face really stands out compared to all the other parts of the picture, when you usually create several bright places. Nothing steals the focus from the face here. At least, that how I feel about this piece.
