Description 5 x 7 inch Watercolour

Long-tailed Macaque resting at the Prang San Yot temple in Lopburi, Thailand.

There were hundreds of them, very cheeky and friendly. They even have a Monkey Buffet Festival every year for them. The locals believe that feeding them will bring them good luck.

This is amazing!

I really like how it feels as if you've stuck to the same few colours there and you've just blended and mixed them in. The monkey seems to be quite sad.. all hunched, and with a face expression like that, but maybe it's just contemplating something.

The composition is awesome, anyway, and I really like how you've done the background. I think you've managed to capture the surface of stone and the surface of the fur very well.

thanks for the comment and amazing. The monkeys actually blend in with ruins of the temple which is basically their home. They are an odd looking monkey with pointy alien ears. They are very well fed every day by the locals so they have no reason to be sad. This one might have had a domestic, as their are so many, there can be squabbles. They are so interesting to watch, they have the run of the town and are a tourist attraction.
