Greetings Matthew,
Actually this one is 100% digital. I created it from a blank page using Corel Photo-Paint 12 and my trusty mouse. My intention was to replicate traditonal acrylic and brush tecniques using only the basic paints and brushes. The image itself is loosely based upon a prior acrylic and canvas painting however, I did not use a scanned/digital image or use any of it directly. Your comment tells me that I was somewhat succesful for I know you have very high standards. Your latest works truly show how well you are utilizing your newest tecnological artist's tools. I am confident you shall go far with your art, espically as you have so many productive years ahead of you . . .
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and the best of all New Years . . .
My best,
Michael

In that case, I think you "faked" the look of traditional art really well I remember when I converted from Traditional to Digital, it was a slow process and for many years I practiced both. But the house I lived in (with my family) had only one room where I could paint, an dit was a semi-outdoor area that was unbearably hot in summer and freezing in Winter, so I was limited in how much I could paint I guess that kinda turned me off it, along with I hated having to set up, and pack up all the paints and brushes etc every day too, and the cost of buying new paints and tools all the time (then again, the cost of one good digital art program adds up to around the same as buying traditional paints for a year ) But still, even though I have given up traditional art, all those years of me doing it beforehand means I'll always have a certain respect for traditional art
And that tablet is doing me wonders too, I went many years without one at first, but I think I still should have gotten it a long time ago. I guess you could buy one if you start thinking that you might rely more heavily on Digital art in the future, since especially for a traditional artist - it feels much more "painterly"

Greetings Matthew,
Thank you. I appreciate you sharing this with me. Yes, I am considering obtaining a newer Wacom (The Cintiq 21UX, Pen-On-Screen)in the near future that will indeed make digital painting feel a bit more like traditional. Even though traditional painting is a bit messy and bothersome to set up/clean up I know shall never go 100% digital. Of course according to an ancient proverb . . . one should never say never . . . for the future often reveals new paths for us to follow . . . With your gift for artistic expression I am sure you shall have a very bright path whatever the future may reveal . . .
My best,
Michael C. Turner
