Nora was the fifth and final member of a family of five, preceeded by her brother, Micah, and her sister, Noelle. She was shy and quiet, for a five year old, and preferred to hide behind her siblings or parents before talking to a stranger.

One day in late summer, her parents held a party to celebrate Noey moving on to a new school, and invited a whole bunch of people that Nora didn't know, people who were supposedly family members.

She stayed near her mom, Hannah, holding onto her hand with all her little might.

But her eyes drooped, and her grip weakened, and soon enough she fell asleep on the couch right next to her mom.

"Shh," Hannah McBride said, ushering everyone but the towering bear animatronic out of the room. "Let her sleep. It's been a long day."
