Personality:
Mizu is a confident, excitable leader who loves to socialize with the lytes she watches over. Her moods have a habit of changing quite quickly however, and sometimes she can become oddly subdued, but she never stays that way for long. She can be impulsive in her duties and decisions, but is a master of fixing the mistakes she makes and often runs plans by her wife/deputy before acting. Mizu cares greatly for the lytes around her and can often be found wandering the towns of Zima, making it her utmost priority to stay well connected with everyone no matter how far out they live. She will defend her island 'till her last breath, and is always concious of possible attack - hence Zima's incredible ambush defence system.

History:
Mizu's childhood was spent with her loving parents on the outskirts of Zima. Her family owned a low-income fish farm, and were not incredibly well off. She had no siblings, and became quite lonely as she worked the farms, unhappy with her life though she appreciated her parent's hard work. Living like this sparked her desire to pursue a leadership position, and as soon as she was old enough to venture out on her own she made it her mission to get contacts in high places to improve her parent's life and the livelihoods of all poorer Zimarians. To further her progress, she decided to learn magic. Without the money to pay for a class, Mizu resorted to teaching herself independently. Once she had gotten to a median level of Flow magic, she sought out once-off gigs performing and helping others with her skills until she had mastered them. Everything was going uphill until she recieved news about her parents. They had gone out fishing near Brinegrave and had been wrecked on the deadly coral reef surrounding it, with their bodies never recovered. This was a massive blow for Mizu, and she spent many months back at her old home after making graves for her parents at the place they met their end. No one wanted to buy the farm, so she kept it under her ownership and eventually continued her journey, wanting to make her parents proud. After years upon years of hard work she made it to the highest position she could - Leader of Zima. This led her to appoint a deputy, who she later fell deeply in love with and married, despite criticism that it would affect how she led. They had a daughter a little later on, and Mizu feels her life is finally looking up again. She often goes to visit her parents graves by the seaside to pay her respects, but she is certain she has exceeded their expectations and done their memories justice.
