AW, HELL YEAH! It's Christmastime once again, baby! And when there's Christmas, there's Christmas reviews! Duck the halls, Elation, Mickey's twice upon a Christmas, God rest ye merry gentle-mannequins, Frozen, Home for the holidays. I ho ho hope y'all are ready! Lets start this holiday season with one of the best Christmas specials I've ever seen. AND IT CAME OUT ONLY A FEW WEEKS AGO! Season 3 of the Cuphead show was pretty good. I would have traded Roadkill, Don't answer the door, and Cupstaged for the scrapped episodes featuring bosses like Wally warbles and Cagney carnation. But I love what the season did with Chalice and the Devil. Even if the latter appeared too much this season. Anyway, Let's get into this amazing episode. It starts with the town of Inkwell isles in the Christmas spirit. And I love all the cameos from past episodes here. I especially love Ribby and Croaks building a snowman of their Ma. Everyone's having a great time. Especially the Devil. But not for the reason you'd think. He then sings a catchy song about how he love how Christmas brings out the devil in him as he goes around cheerfully ruining all the fun. Like photobombing a family portrait, Turning Ribby and Croaks snowman into a monster, AN MAKING A CAR CRASH INTO A CHRISTMAS TREE, WHICH SETS IT ON FIRE. While the cheery music still plays, mind you. After that The Devil see's what he wants for Christmas. A choo choo train. The literal Devil wants a train. And he calls it a "choo choo" through out the episode. I love it. It's like 2nd dimension Doof. Devil then see's a greedy sandwich boy and his mum, who reminds him that he was on the naughty list last year for gluing his sisters face to the floor. And I love how Devil's impressed with this stranger. Even saying "I like this kid." But Devil's confused when he hears about the Naughty list. So Sammy sandwich explains it to him. The Devil not knowing about it is then backed up By no one in hell telling him because it's not his kind of list. And yeah, that makes sense. HE'S THE LITERAL DEVIL1 Devil then decides to go to the north pole to get on the nice list. And I love the live action Claymation sculpture of the north pole they used. And I want you to take one guess what list Devil's one. And I love the running gag of Santa mistaking Choo choo for Tutu. Santa then feels bad for Devil and says that if he's good for the rest of the day, he'll put him on the nice list. AFTER THIS THE DEVIL LITERALLY BLOWS UP AN OLD LADY!!!! And I love how Santa's not having any of his crap. So he goes to plan B. He and his elves then preform a demonic ritual on the Devil. That when he gets home. He mutates into Santa. And I love how disturbing they made the transformation. This episodes is so bonkers and I love it. The devil wanting a choo choo. And Santa preforming demonic rituals on him. So Devil and Henchmen the go back to the north pole to fix this. And I love their reaction to Santa having a Stickler clone. Stickler elf then explains to Devil that he's now Santa and has to deliver all the presents to both get on the nice list, and get back to normal. Stickler elf then explains the rules to Devil. With the most important one being to stay jolly. THEN THE DEVIL BLOWS HIM UP! I love how he commits three murders in this episode and STILL gets onto the nice list. Henchmen then explains that he can't lose his cool like that. So the Devil brings Stickler elf back to life. Now it's time for him to deliver the presents. But he can't get the reindeers names right. THEN HE LOOSES HIS COOL AND SCARES THEM OFF. Oopsie! That was funny. So he gets Henchmen to pull his sleigh. I love Henchmen in this episode. He's so supportive of his boss. I bet he's on the nice list, for sure! We then get an amazing montage of the Devil going around delivering presents with Russian dance playing in the background. I love it! And I love how he keeps getting tortured by getting attacked by doggies and overeating on cookies. Santa really screwed him over. But I'm not sure I feel bad for him. HE'S THE DEVIL! After this, he has one house left. AND IT'S CUPHEAD'S. Devil then reluctantly delivers his rivals their presents, And I liked how Mugman and Kettle's present's were callbacks to I scream man and Baby bottle. The Devil then finds that the last present in the bag is a choo choo. But it's for Cuphead. And I love how he thinks he deserves it more then he does. HE IS THE LITERAL DEVIL!!!!! Then we get an actually touching scene where Cuphead comes downstairs and see's the Devil, Who he thinks is Santa. Like Cindy lou in the grinch. He says that even if he's on the naughty list, getting to meet Santa made this the best Christmas ever. The Devil then has a change of heart and reluctantly gives him his choo choo. This selfless act put the Devil on the nice list. Good for him. He then turns back to normal, and Santa congratulates him. And get this, HE STILL DOESN'T GET HIS CHOO CHOO, BECAUSE HIS PRESENT IS "THE JOY OF BEING NICE"! I'm with the Devil that is stupid! I'M JUST KIDDING. CHRISTMAS IS NOT ABOUT GETTING PRESENTS. And then we get a wholesome ending where Henchmen built his boss a giant choo choo while he was asleep. That's wholesome. This special slaps. It's funny, wholesome, and bizarre.
