It might take them two wars, several destroyed personal MS (Aegis, Justice, Strike Rouge, and Savior so far), and the schemeing of potential suitors to work through, but it is moments like this that make is clear that through it all Athrun and Cagalli love each other. And it all started on that small island. (Even if the whole episode was a rip-off copy of an 08th MS Team episode that did the same thing for the lead characters.)
