Description
This piece was done with acrylic on a little flat canvas and then scanned and fixed up tons in photoshop and grungified with my brushes..I know I could've made the solid black better in some way on the head but oh well..
This was in Breed's latest pack #19, Mitosis!
I have another piece in the pack I'll submit another time.. go check out all the great art

I've been watching your work for quite some time now, your art speaks to my heart, and hopefully I'll be able to buy a print from you some day of 'Save the Tears'' .

yes your style is amazing, part of it reminds me of Mark Ryden. A great guy, and one of my favorite modern surreal artists. Now techincal wise, your brushwork is great, the smoothness, then adding in the grunge effect goes hand in hand. The meaning, well I see this:
These thoughts,
wander effortlessly though time.
The tear up my soul, make me weak.
they're killing my mind.
It's self torture,
despair,
agony with defeat.
Solitude that seems unfair.
It sharp cold pins,
that prick when i sleep.
Its nightmare that never end,
continuing week after week.
Kill my mind,
release this pain i hold.
Plant this seed of happiness,
before i get to old..
I am gonna fav this because 1 your skill, two the earth tones are a great moody touch to this piece. And lastly because my mind works non-stop, i awake with thoughts daily, and at night dreams never come, they are just thoughts that keep me from resting. So i sometimes think that i wish someone would kill my mind, so that this pain, these questions, these thoughts are free from pandora's box....

i feel that the hands and arms are a little detached from the rest of the piece. it detracts from the actual moodiness...
hmm... i love the way the face looks though, it's very porcelain, and the surrounding area has a gorgeous texture to it. good work, in all.

you've got a way with brushes. be it paint brushes, or airbrushing in Photoshop, you've just got such a handle on them...
i'm not sure if that was a bad joke, or something else. it sounded pretty cheesy though.
you've done a really lovely job of blending the colours. i think the cracks in the face are amazing. they look very realistic.
i think you could have done better, but all in all, this is an exceptional peice. i'd love to see the original. good work.

I like the way the arms and hands are skeletal and how the head and face are cracked. Very nicely done. The canvas gives the whole thing a nice texture as well.

I love the rough textures. And her hands are great. I could be mis interpreting this, but if those are her hands, they don't look like they're quite connected with her arms.
