That is awesome. I've been through most of your gallery and I can't beleive that you can draw like that. I like the way it's so fine and liney and I like the way it's just a floating bust of the person. Awesome drawing!

This is great! I think this is my favorite of your sketch book drawings! There's just something very interesting about profile views to me. I really like that nose for some reason.. Just the way it's sort of pointy and the way it turns down.. One must definitily love those crazy eye lashes ! The eye is great as well. Its makes her look somewhat like she's thinking "Leave me alone." My favorite part is that hair! The twigs and spider webs are great !! It makes her seem old and a bit wise. She even looks a little prude. That's from the nose and eyes though, not the hair.
Sincerely,
Amy/BLaDeRaVeN09

Very earthy looking. I especially dig how you grunged it up. Looks like most, if not all of it could have been done in pencil, though I'm sure you used at least couple brushes here and there, no?

asunder In reply to symbolic [2003-11-22 21:25:22 +0000 UTC]

I used a dip-pen nib and holder to draw it.. I love using the dip pen nibs much better than normal pens..no brushes were used

incredible imagination.
not enough to get the technical aspects,...
HOW you draw it IS important,...but WHAT
you draw is just as important!
but, i do love that wicked linework,...and
the that crosshatch as well.
reminiscent of something i was looking at
just yesterday.
years ago berni wrightson done these
incredible pen and ink drawings for this
graphic novel version of frankenstein.
it was epic! i have the complete art card
set. heh. yeah. i used to collect art cards.
geesh. i've got dozens of sets! i'm especially
taken with my frazetta sets!
uhm,...anyway,...your linework reminds me
some of wrightson's work on frankenstein.

that is all.
