It's a reference to the MLP Generation 1 villain, Catrina (he misspelled it though). She was a cat sorceress who was addicted to magic drugs.

G1 was weird.

seems like it was a awesome show condsidering the villians in it. Hopefully G5 will be good and never goes back to the blandess of 2-3.5

MLP:FiM already sort of felt like a gestalt of all the previous MLP series.

It had the fantasy elements of G1, from a wild, wide world of magical creatures and monsters to a return of some of the classic villains, not to mention Applejack, Twilight and Spike (and inspiration for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash from G1's Posey and Firefly).

It had a smaller, central female cast that often dealt with slice of life stories and emotional problems like G2 (technically I know My Little Pony Tales wasn't a Generation 2 series but just using shorthand here).

It featured a lot of character designs, voice actors and names from G3 (Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Cheerilee, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Ponyville itself).

That's not saying this was intentional or that the previous series were all gems (though I do like bits and pieces from almost all of them, G3.5 Baby Ponies aside) but I do like seeing the blend of high fantasy adventure with slice of life.

High fantasy and slice of life always make for a good show
