yeah, but so what? this is his vision of the mob, so designs done by other people are irrelevant. design wise it fits with the other ones he did.
and to put it simply, if you don't like his design choices, then you're not the target audience, so it's not for you. focus on things you like instead of attacking things you don't.

the important thing is to learn to ignore things you don't like.
for example, i don't like furries nor ponies, but i don't go into those and post rants whenever i see one of my favorite series getting furrified or ponified, and you'll have to admit that there's much more of that than skimpy clothed minecraft inspired designs.
