Hm, how do you go about maintaining a uniform width? Do you just eyeball it? Or do you actually measure it? I suppose this would also vary on the type of paper you are using, white or gritted.

I eyeball it. I do that with the whole thing and I believe it leaves you a sense of freedom but also a more creative feel to the final image. Of course it is easier on a grid and it will definitely help you increase your feeling for it!

Nice tutorial! I love that there are different approaches to doing knotwork. I didn't really catch on until I had studied several different ones and found what worked for me.

it definitely will...I always get distracted by celtic design whilst reading Barry Windsor-Smith comics, I'm always like, "How did he make those intricate designs?!" Now maybe I can make some of my own...
