How about a "Batduck Vs. Superbun" picture?

This picture is one of the greatest I've ever seen, everything works.
I'm so conflicted I don't want to root for Zod because he's lame but it's Yakko and he's awesome, Animaniacs was my childhood show.
Would Lex Luthor be Montana Max in this, or would it be the Brain?

Well I did use Monty on the first Superman parody on this PIC and you can also see I used Yakoo, Wakoo and Dot the same way.

When the heck does Superman get arrested? I don't remember that happening.

Why does he get arrested? They didn't arrest him in the Richard Donner/Richard Lester movies.

And you wonder why this one bombed so badly. I never like other directors try to retell they idea of a "real life" story as if a real illegal "alien" from what ever comes down to Earth and FBI, CIA or some Barny type cop with try to take him to the big house because he forgot his Green Cards:/

It bombed? I thought a lot of people liked it from what I saw. Not defending it, just saying.

With Reeves movie it was "You will believe a man can fly". With SMOS it became "You will believe a man can commit murder." And I dont consider the devastation he allowed to happen to Metropolis and committing genocide against his entire race reflects particularly well on his character either
If this movie is supposed to be a reflection of what the viewing public today wants, Id rather go live in a Fortress of Solitude
Ben Affleck announced as Batman in the sequel made my eyes roll. But while I am unimpressed, I just don't feel him getting the role as ruining the character forever.
But then Im not exactly a big Batman fan, and I wasn't going to see the movie anyway even if someone I really liked got the role.

Nu52 comics as a whole needs to go as well. The last reboot was change for the sake of change, and comes across as hollow and soulless as "Murderer of Steel"

Probably do it the way it was done before FLASHPOINT.
More Silver Age style

Better than Murderer of Steel at least

True. Of course Henry Cavill could be a good Superman if they let him be Superman. Not angsting and grief stricken all the time.

He is not the kind of director to be making a Superman movie. Or a superhero movie in general.

Gojira012 In reply to Generalobiwankenobi7 [2014-11-30 03:27:44 +0000 UTC]
What we need is the guys who do the marvel avenger movies. Or at the very least Bruce timm and Paul Dini. Geoff Johns don't know what the hell he doing these days
Genndy Tartoskovsky said he was dying to do a superman movie
π: 1 β©: 1
Generalobiwankenobi7 In reply to Gojira012 [2014-11-30 14:10:39 +0000 UTC]
All of those I would love to see do a Superman movie. Although I think Paul Dini and Bruce Timm have stopped with the DC stories to my knowledge. However it would be a good idea if David S Goyer and Zack Snyder took a look at the Marvel movies, especially the Captain America ones, and got an idea of how to do a superhero movie.
I'm not familiar with that man.

Gojira012 In reply to Generalobiwankenobi7 [2014-11-30 14:25:02 +0000 UTC]
Oh he created Dexter's lab and Samurai Jack.
Plus Snyder and Goyer seem to think delving into the fantasy elements killed it for the first batman movies
π: 0 β©: 1
Generalobiwankenobi7 In reply to Gojira012 [2014-11-30 14:29:32 +0000 UTC]
Ah I see.
Another reason why they don't get superheroes. What killed it in my opinion was with the Burton sequel making it too dark, and with the Shumacker ones it was overly goofy. You can balance it out like in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Gojira012 In reply to Generalobiwankenobi7 [2014-11-30 14:32:52 +0000 UTC]
Plus it's been proven that DC Super heroes are hard to pull off and take serious. They also don't think any other hero besides batman and superman can carry their own movie
π: 0 β©: 1
Generalobiwankenobi7 In reply to Gojira012 [2014-11-30 14:34:53 +0000 UTC]
True, doesn't mean its impossible. You just need writers and directors that can handle it. Snyder and Goyer are not up there to do it.

Superman secret origin would make a great movie
What do you think? Did you ever read it
π: 0 β©: 1
Generalobiwankenobi7 In reply to Gojira012 [2014-11-30 20:57:22 +0000 UTC]
Of course, and it would be a good basis for a new Superman origin movie. The problem is with DC's animation department doing their own movies based on comics that could easily be made into an animated movie.

The New 52 has been lacking. However none of it has been as brain numbingly stupid as Man of Steel. Except maybe Red Hood and the Outlaws.

Well the opportunity to do so has passed. It was originally going to be starting by crossing over Superman and Batman after Superman Returns and Batman Begins.
