We all loose loved ones, but i like to look at it this way:

When loved ones pass on, the chains of this life are broken. The burdens, the troubles , everything that has held them back. They are free .
The peony, said to be the flower of life, will gradually fade away, leaving behind memories. The lilies in front if the tombstone represent what remains of our beloved. Truly they will be missed.
