Her name is Heather, the main protagonist of Silent Hill 3. Throughout the story, she becomes more somber due to what she goes through. Perhaps, if you play it, you'll understand it.

Aesthetically, the movie is good. But it's story is a complete mess, full of plot holes on itself and regarding the game's story. I liked how it looked, but it looked good because they literally copied scenes and angles from the original games.
I really recommend you to play the original 4 by Team Silent. They're a true piece of art. You could also watch the documentary "The Real Silent Hill Experience " by Twin Perfect and Fungo on Youtube. They did a great job on it, though it may spoil some things you didn't know about the series, since they thoroughly analise it and it's supposed "sucessors" - A.K.A movies, later games, HD Collection. I think you may like them.
P.S.: If you decide to play the first 4, DO NOT play the HD Collection; they ruined SH2 and SH3 on it. Download them as torrent to your PC or something, but don't buy the HD Collection.Β
