Very nice. The haziness of the surroundings give me the feeling of being lovestruck. It's like how I would describe falling in love with someone at first sight.
With that being said, I think I should point out that I'm a dude and I don't dig guys that way... but thanks to this picture I can imagine what it would be like if I did go for guys. XP
The colors and the lighting are very attractive as well. I especially like the glow on the object in the bottom left corner and the metallic shine of the object; that looks very convincing. The chair (I think that's a chair) has a leathery appearance which I think is super hard to capture. You made it look easy here though.
The colors in the background are also nicely done. The background doesn't feel like a lazy background, even though it's really just colors splashed back there.
The way the violent and white colors surround the character adds contrast and helps him stand out. It also has the feel of something bright actually being there in the background. And the darker colors towards the edges look like the background behind that bright object, which adds a sense of depth.
Like I sorta said before, some might call it a lazy background but it sure doesn't feel that way to me.
On to the character... (I swear I didn't intend on writing this much)... the drawing is nearly perfect. The wrinkles and lighting on the clothes look very believable, and so do the tears on the pants. Although the line on the left pant leg where the tears begin looks a little too straight and clean.
The pose is great, I wish I could draw a figure that looked so natural. His face is almost handsome enough to make me wish I was gay. The only thing that looks a bit off is the position of his right eye; it looks like it's sitting a little higher than the left eye. It could just be me, and it's not really a big issue at all. I thought I noticed it because I have so much trouble with getting the eyes to line up perfectly even, or just even enough.
Also, one of the spikes on his neck accessory might be a little higher than the others. And the only other possible problem that I can see is a little white speck on his right sleeve, about midway up. I don't know if it's light or just a spot that didn't get colored. That's all I can spot. This is a nice piece of art work.
Ok, sorry for writing so much. I'm just glad that I found your gallery. You've motivated me to get back on the drawing table today and try to work my confidence back up. Laaaaaater!
