Sarick did not recognize this beast as its enormity spanned about the field’s breadth. Its wings were vast to his marvel of not hearing it, and its scales were plated about its body as chainmail covers a knight. Fire was the light of its eyes and its claws would rival the lance of the finest warrior. Thus as it tore the field, it wreathed about as a great serpent weaves about its prey. Sarick had naturally ducked himself down as he carefully observed. Then in moments as almost as soon as it had landed upon the field, it took back up to the sky, and the buffalo, without a surviving head, were gone without a sign ...
