Growing up on the harsh, rocky homeworld of the Twi’leks; little is known about Megara’s biological parents. Sold into slavery by the age of 6 (33 BBY), Megara was tossed around to many locations on the Planet, but was ultimately purchased by the same Slave owner who bought Sarra Aya – who would become like an older sister to her – many years earlier. Being a human Slave, a rarity on Ryloth, Megara was worth much more than the other slaves who would surround and accompany her at Slave Fairs and would usually only be sold to the highest bidder – generally meaning Crime Lords, like Graxol Kelvyyn, or corrupt politicians.

In 32 BBY (7 yrs old), an undercover Jedi who attended a Slave Fair initially, upon viewing her, only sensed Sarra Aya’s connection to The Force, but after the Slave Trader presented Megara to the Master, he could sense she was strong in The Force as well, and attempted to free them. Striking a seemingly innocent pre-purchase conversation with the young girls, the Jedi informed them, as simplistically as he could, of his intentions, to which Megara – through broken English (Basic) – translated and agreed to, after telling her “sister” Sarra Aya. After singlehandedly shutting down that particular slave-trading network, the Master took the girls to Coruscant, where they were evaluated by the High Council and accepted into the ranks.

Due to her violence-laced upbringing, Megara tended to shy away from physically harming tactics in her Jedi training, often opting for non-violent approaches to situations that appeared to require them and always took a Diplomatic stance on most issues. She always appeared to be an optimist, and that personality trait generally went to good use on the Battlefield, during the Clone Wars in 22 BBY-19 BBY. She was primarily skilled in using commonly unthought-of or “alternate” Force Powers, aside from Mind Trick, such as: Ionize/Droid Disable, Force Stun, Animal Friendship, Force Blinding, Alter Environment, Force Comprehension, Force Healing, Farsight and many others. From 27 BBY to 23, Megara engaged in a number of other Slave Network takedowns, many of them successful, as she continued her training.
