I'll admit we don't put a lot of thought into these effects though, they are a last minute thing.
But we thought it would be funny for it to be themed around countering number cards, considering it's a mathematician an all that.

I briefly vented about that a little bit here recently.
The lack of myth posts this year has been one of my main points of frustration lately as well. And to think those used to be weekly a long time ago...
But the actual truth is that behind the curtains, doing those frequently back in the day was very stressful to me. A lot of them were actually rushed out so I could post them weekly for the few of you guys who actually cared back in the day, so everytime I look at them now I can only see everything that's wrong with each one of them. I pretty much hate most of my gallery now tbh.
This got really tiresome after a while, I got much more critical of my work, my coloring became more detailed, I got some new responsabilities. Those take some considerable time to make too!  
Lately I've got quite a few people requesting commissions from me, and naturally I'm going to give preference to paid stuff, the money has been really helpful right now. And I still got quite a few to do and some more to post that you guys haven't seen yet, so, sorry about that, there's still more of these to come.
Anyway, I'm really glad someone actually cares about that, in truth I still consider the myth posts to be my "main thing", no matter how unsincere that seems nowadays. I do want to get back making them, especially for this month of halloween, but I can't say I still got much motivation in me for doing many of those back to back, and now more than ever I've got my hands quite full with stuff to do. We'll see, we'll see.

Cool, and I'm sorry if I touched a sensitive subject. Just take your time and enjoy yourself, being an artist is meaningless if it not enjoyed by the artist itself. And know that your fans will understand if you choose to update update every other week or every month, so long as your happy with your work.

Oh, don't worry, it's not a sensitive subject at all. It's just that I had never given my official word on the matter, and this was bothering me for a while. And I guess from an outsider point of view, it may seen I just abandoned the myth posts in favor of the fakemons because they give me more views or whatever, but that's not true at all. And thanks for the king words. Indeed I wasn't having fun with it after a while, so that's why I decided to take a break on them. I'm trying to recollect myself for now and prioritizing some other stuff, but I'm going back to the myth posts for sure in the near future, or so I hope.
