Description Name: Larvask (Larva + Flask)
Type: Bug/Poison
Species: Mosquito Larva Pokémon
Ability: Toxin Collect*/Contagion**/ (Hidden: Power of Alchemy)

*Toxin Collect: The Pokémon draws in all Poison-type moves. Instead of being hit by Poison-type moves, it boosts its Sp. Atk.
**Contagion: If the adversary has more than one Pokémon on the field and one of them is inflicted with a status effect, the other adversary pokémon are inflicted  with the same status as well.

Height: 0,3m (1'00")
Weight: 1,5kg (3,3 lbs)

Entry:
They can only survive inside the water, preferably still and polluted water sources where they spend all day floating about just below the surface. They collect the toxins present around them with the little holes in their heads, and store them in their fragile flask-like bodies, producing a weak composite poison. Once their body is completely filled, the toxins begin to suffer strange chemical reactions, a sign that it’s next stage of evolution draws near...

-Larvask -> Lv. 12 -> Quarentox -> Lv. 32 -> Paedemic -

Potential Moveset:
Tackle

Toxic Sting
Leer
Bug Bite

A mosquito lined based on lab flasks! Larvask and it's pupal stage collect toxins to prepare for its evolution. When it reaches it's mosquito stage, those toxins have suffered powerful chemical reactions and turn into a new and deadly poison. Strangely for a bug-line in a pokémon game, it can only be found in water sources, either by fishing or surfing.

Larvask's line is just one of the bug lines planned for my region, along with a grasshopper and a housefly line, with the grasshopper one being the "main" bug of the region. These are all just plans for now, I may change my mind in the future, who knows.
I just couldn't think of an interesting concept for a new butterfly-like pokémon...

Well, hope you all liked it, and see you guys next time!

I am SO glad you're doing something different than a butterfly for one of your regional bugs - haven't we got enough lepidopterans as it is? XD And I gotta say, the chemical flask (and chemistry equipment in general) as a basis is pretty darn clever.

I also look forward to the grasshopper and housefly lines you're planning, because lord knows the Pokemon universe needs both of those. Odd that they still haven't made those in canon as of yet (Kricketune debatably notwithstanding, though seeing as he's also based on a violin beetle...)

Glad you liked it!
I was actually considering a fakemon based on a literal "Monarch" Butterfly for the main bug... But yeah, there was so many cooler bugs out there to make fakes out with, and so many obvious ideas that I still don't understand why they haven't done it already...  So they get the priority!

I consider Kricketune a beetle inded, so the spot for cricket pokemon is still open... Maybe as a pre-evo to the grasshopper? There's still a lot of cool ideas to work with,  like this guy: [link ]
So stay tuned as always!
