Hello.
Well... Where can I start? Firstly I'm sorry that I haven't been very active at all as of late. Been busy with college, and half the pictures I've drawn I've taken ages on. And half of them are still unfinished... So that's that out the way. ^^
I'm changing the way I work very dramatically, I'm not churning out things fast no more. I don't feel anything when I work that way, I don't get into the picture enough... And if I do... I finish it so fast it wasn't even decent. :S
So what I'm saying... Is I want to work with a passion. So the pictures that I will make will all be amazing, different... And creative.
This picture I wanted to keep very simple. Using a silhouette style design... But I wanted it creative... So I never followed that design with the hair... Effectively mirroring the silhouette. Before I inked, I drew the lines of the border and then wrote in the font. Inked around that quite thickly, so I can be less cautious when filling in the areas around it.
I was going to keep the eyes unshaded... But I decided to shade it in at the very end.
Overall, I didn't want to complexify the image; but to produce something that is striking in a small amount of space. I left a lot of paper free from ink as to help increase that effect. I could have cropped it out... But I held against it... I still wonder whether it was a good decision...
Overall Working time with Sketch, Inking & Digital included was about 2.5/3 hours.
I hope you like it!... And I do hope it was worth the wait, again, I'm sorry for being so inactive recently; it makes me sad.
