My first lifelike painting in a while, I really wanted to push myself with this and attempt to see how well I can translate what I know onto the piece. I have looked at so many Lifelike references and high detail pieces that I just stockpile all the information. I used barely any references for this at all either, so I'm very proud of that, in saying that I know that I struggled with her back between the wings and above the tail. But maybe next time with a new fresh pose i'll get it right.I do not think i'll be opening commissions to this style any time soon. I doubt i'll be consistent enough with this yet. But in the mean time I can see about practicing with gifts for close friends of mine. But also have to be careful as to not burn myself out.
Little details that I added with this is some scales where the light hits the most. I was scared to make them more visible so they are quite dull, But you can see them on the tail/leg/head where the light hits most. Maybe sometime I'll be more brave and make them more prominent like @/seasaltshrimp but til then, let's go one bit at a time
