anorexiaMy idea behind the painting is :
You are perfect as you are. You don't need to be perfect for someone you just need to feel good about your self no matter what.
There are so meany people in the world starving and you who has food and all that you need don't wish to eat because you got some small problems ?
Try surviving a day to day on nothing , then you will feel what a real problem is.
I will also paint one on obesity

I really like it because it brutally shows how an anorexic person looks like. The contrasts and the colours are nice and helps the message of the picture.
There's only one thing I felt frustrated about.
"Try surviving a day to day on nothing , then you will feel what a real problem is." Anorexia is a mental disorder. You don't choose to have a fucked up mind and to suffer. One is not starving only to look good, but because one feels like that this is the only thing that one can control. This "I won't eat to look good in the others' eyes." is just the surface of the whole problem and when someone really suffers from anorexia, that person's smallest aim is to look good in other people's eyes.
In my point of view what you wrote suggests that someone chooses this, but the whole thing is much more complicated.

I think it's a form of OCD. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder + no self confidence/clinical depression = Super-Emo. That's my explanation. I don't want to sound cold (or maybe I do), but clearly these people weren't meant to survive.

People with anorexia sometimes go for months on nothing... I'm good friends with a girl who ate nothing until she was told that she had two weeks left to live. I love the painting, but I don't feel you understand the disorder itself and the causes of it. I feel the same way about the obesity painting. Mental disorders and addictions cannot be easily explained, and not even the experts really understand them. Anorexia is not caused by 'small problems'. Some people would find that incredibly offensive. Anorexia is exceedingly rarely entirely based on wanting to look good for other people, and I still get incredibly angry when the media tries to paint it that way, or other people such as you base your opinions on myths. While recovery is possible, it is exceedingly hard for people with either disorder. Please remember that before saying more such ignorant things.

I had friends that look like that. But then they decided to stop having low self esteem and eat once in awhile. Silly girls took long enough.

I agree a 100% with what you say.I think your picture shows very well the state of mind of certain people starving themselves just so they can look good to others.
