Great work. I can't believe that I love Steven Universe! It is such a great cartoon with a thoughtful and heartfelt story line. I love the character interactions and their distinct personalities. Peridot is great too even though she is a NERD.
So, w
hat sort of ups and downs have you been dealing with lately? Nothing too bad I hope.

Yeah me TOO, when I first saw the short I was a bit apprehensive and then tumblr fucking exploded and I was a little scared off but when I finally started watching I understood what the hoopla was all about and well there's no hope for me now.
I really love Peridot, she speaks to me in a lot of ways, she's an outsider on both the good guys and the bad guys, a total nerd and full of herself ... just like me haha
I've been having some real problems with depression over the last year, I have ups and downs, whats worrying me is the downs are becoming really down... I'm working through it with my doctor but I get these feelings from time to time and it helps to draw them, which is where this pic came from I guess.

You know what has been bugging me. How do all these flash animators make the linework super thin af the ends and super thick at the congruent or wait the median well middle of the line.
Also ive been sad too. But its good to be sad about things. According to south park that means you're not emo. So that's good right?

Ah ok, when you are vectoring you can usually add / select points and change their density setting, so you can create tapered lines.
In Illustrator you can create custom brushes for this express purpose, in SAI I can manipulate the size of each point.
From what I understand, when animating you construct shapes in groups and generally categorize them as static and non static, for non-static lines you are either bending lines in keyframes using vectors or redrawing them and then either a tween animator does the rest or you leave it to the software
