Description The prototype of my techpriest costume, wore it to dragon con 2009 and the reception was pretty good, just need to make the mask easier to see through, one woman was even angry at me when she found out I had not entered it into the costume contest.

it is just what I would think of when I think of a techpriest. a very emotionless look to him/it (how ever you would describe the followers of the Machine Cult... I would doubt that it would make a difference between gender)

Say, how did you build it? I'm planning a Techpriest costume for Halloween, and was wondering where to start. Any tips?

I mainly started with a red robe, and then used goggles a gas mask all with the intent of staying completely covered up. the staff and the backpack were made of wood, pvc sentra, and plenty of paint, keeping the stay-covered-up aspect in mind it all just kind of fell into place. Most techpriests I see are very mysterious figures, so that is what I mostly tried to work with, a red phantom with a few brass and steel bits protruding from it.

wow nice costume, but in my opinion its a little bit to clean for a tech priest in the dark 40k universe

ps: was the binary code on the reference you used, or was it your idea? its totally awesome

I really don't know, things are kind of hectic this year since I'm moving at the end of the summer and starting grad school. But I will try, I'm going to work on improving the backpack for the costume as well as my commissar outfit.

Amazing. I love the mask and goggles. That's a sandblasting mask modified, right?

Very nice.

I can notice, a lot of effort and passion put into making it - just by looking at this excellent piece of cosplay.
