Description
During World War 1, on the Western Front; Allied and German forces were engaged in what seemed like nonstop fighting. However, on Christmas Eve 1914, a miracle no one expected occurred...both Allied and German sides called a truce to stop all fighting for Christmas time. Rathen than view this as a deceptive trick and use this truce to either side tactical advantage; BOTH sides exited from their trenches and greeted each side with open arms. Both sides enjoy festivities with each other such as: singing Christmas carols, exchanging presents and Christmas cards, drinking ale/champagne, having a soccer match between both sides, mourning the death of each fallen brothers, etc.

Who better than to pay tribute to this historical event with my OC General Bardak representing the Allied forces and 's OC Genocide representing the German forces...with both of them putting aside their differences and sharing a drink with each other!

Rather than your typical Christmas carol, I choose to commission this picture because I like the meaning behind this historical ceasefire. This Christmas miracle that proves enemies can become friends and, at least for a moment, there is peace even in the darkest of times. Sadly, not many people have even heard of this moment and if this continues it could be forgotten to the dust of time. While violence, misjudgment, and prejudice still occur to this day...Many people need to remember events such as this that prove beyond a doubt that there is always hope for the future, for humanity, and for ourselves.
