Digital paint, Jan. 2021. The Kagemazoku King, Zhernobog is named after the Pagan Slavic God of Woe, Chernobog. It was once his and the Kagemazoku's responsibility to judge the souls of the dead. With the aid of Tosho, Zhernobog's blade, the dark deeds and thoughts of others are revealed and revived. Made of shadows and ice, Zhernobog and his Kagemazoku are inspired by samurai, Polish Winged hussars, the Ring Wraiths of "Lord of the Rings", and the Dementors of "Harry Potter".
