Cotylorhynchus looks like a Komodo dragon that went to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory and ate one of those inflating blueberries

I like how cotylorhynchus looks like an marine iguana fused with a komodo dragon, a prosauropod (but with a shorter neck), and a rhinoceros without a horn or two.

I have to laugh every time I see Cotylorhynchus. Such gigantic reptiles, with heads that are no bigger than their dinky (by comparison) ancestors.

Epic! I find it funny how, in these kinds of synapsids, the head seems to ''be left behind'' as the body grows.

This is brilliant! I like that people do some non-mammalian synapsid reconstructions.

Love it! This guy is one of my favorite oddballs.
You've done really great at capturing his bulk and blending that tiny head onto the body.

your Cotylorhynchus is very beautiful but you must not use such modern tree in permian. therefore, you need change tree. after extinction of Edaphosaurus, the last Dimetrodon, Dimetrodon angelensis eat Cotylorhynchus. therefore, you can add a dimetrodon to your pic.

Art doesn't have to be 100% accurate. That's why people call it art. There are numerous pieces of art of dinosaurs with cavemen on here as well.
